Skin Resurfacing Guide

What is skin resurfacing?

Skin resurfacing engirds different non-surgical treatments to renew and revitalize skin without downtime.

After winter and because of aging, our skin’s outer layers start to show wear and tear in wrinkles, big pores, and age spots.

The combination of different skin resurfacing treatments helps to restore a more youthful and beautiful complexion. After removing the most damaged outer skin layers, an immediate result reveals the healthier-looking skin beneath.

The basic of skin resurfacing treatments is microdermabrasion, and it involves mechanical outer skin exfoliation. Microdermabrasion treatment removes visible skin damage and reveals smoother, healthier, and younger skin.

The area is exfoliated during treatment using a very fine-tipped diamond instrument. The exfoliated skin is then immediately vacuumed away. Microdermabrasion is safe for all skin types, carries minimal risk for side effects, and requires no downtime.

What can microdermabrasion do to improve skin?

  • Minimize fine lines & wrinkles, such as crow’s feet
  • Brighten skin & improve tone
  • Reduce dark spots and acne scars
  • Help home care products work effectively

Microdermabrasion is performed with IPL Fotofacial or a peel to enhance the results.

What is IPL (Intense Pulsed Light)?

Intense pulsed light, or IPL, is a similar treatment to laser resurfacing. IPL uses a broad spectrum of light wavelengths, delivered in brief pulses to treat skin problems, particularly dark spots and age spots, rosacea, acne, saggy and dehydrated skin.

This light helps the skin in four ways:

  1. The wavelengths in IPL destroy the excessive pigment of dark spots.
  2. The light interacts with rosacea-related redness and makes skin tone more even.
  3. It helps to treat acne and close skin pores.

The last, IPL stimulates collagen production to improve overall skin tone. Because it solves many problems, it is marketed under many different names, including BBL (broadband light), photofacial, and photorejuvenation. IPL is a non-ablative treatment (no skin is removed during treatment) and requires no downtime.

What skin concerns does IPL treat?

  • Sun damage & dark spots
  • Age spots & freckles
  • Redness & Rosacea
  • Texture problems
  • Fine lines
  • Acne

Lactic Peel

Another way to resurface the skin is to apply a chemical solution- lactic acid, that causes the significant moisturizing of the outer skin layers. Lactic acid is used to speed up dead skin cells' turnover, lighten dark spots, and improve the look of fine lines and wrinkles.

What Is Lactic Acid?

Lactic acid is naturally found in dairy products. People worldwide have used dairy products to soften and beautify the skin.
It helps improve the natural moisture factor (NMF), one of the ways the skin keeps itself hydrated. Lacti1=c acid helps keep the skin moisturized and feel less dry. It also improves signs of aging. It fades dark spots, sun spots, and age spots smooth and softens fine lines and wrinkles.

If your skin looks dull, feels rough, shows dark spots, big pores, and blackheads, these two treatments are for you.

In one of our, your skin will look glossy and feel even showing younger looking YOU!
